THE MAGUS OF INDIA IS IDENTIFIED AS KING PRIMAL, FROM THE ISLAND OF CEYLON, ACCORDING TO JOAO BARROS, WHO CLAIMS TO HAVE TAKEN HIS SOURCES FROM JOSEPH THE INDIAN

“A king from the island of Ceylon, called Primal, set sail from the coast of Muscat to join other kings who had come to worship the Messiah in Bethlehem. He was the third Magus. This King of Ceylon was informed by a wise man (Sybil) in Coulam (Kovalam) of the birth of the Messiah” Joao Barros.
