Sheikh Zayed (1918-2004) led a policy of openness with the West. He opened the mosques to non-Muslims. The United Arab Emirates became a peaceful place. All believers, regardless of their rites, have the freedom to practice their religion. The United Arab Emirates is the country that has issued the most stamps in the East, on the Three Wise Men.
