Magos Foundation Collection

MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS USED AT THE TIME OF GASPARD THE MAGUS

The Kombu is an ancient wind instrument played only in South India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal during festivities. It was originally made of buffalo horn, but today it is made of copper. Other multi-millennial instruments played in the ancient Pandyan Kingdom are drums of various shapes, such as Madhalas, Timalas, and Chendas, as well as metal cymbals called Elathalam.
