(1575-1632), the 23th Nazari Emir, nicknamed Al Zagall, took refuge after the fall of Granada in Oran with his family and then settled in Tlemcen (Algeria), where his descendants would live. Boabdil, took refuge in Fez (Morocco) in 1493 where he settled.
