They passed through the straits of Tyre on the Mediterranean Sea” Geronimo de la Concepci\u00f3n, 1690. At the time of the nativity, a maritime route left from Cadiz, passed through the Straits of Gibraltar to Malaga and then continued to Cartagena to supply Rome. Another route left from Cadiz to Malaga to reach Tyre, the main port of entry to Roman Syria.
